The design began with a simple question: how can a rooftop become more than just an extension of a building? Instead of enclosing the space with heavy construction, we introduced a lightweight metal framework that creates a pavilion-like structure, allowing the restaurant to remain visually open while framing expansive views of the surroundings. The exposed steel members establish a clean architectural rhythm, while textured plaster walls, warm timber finishes, woven rattan light fixtures, and abundant planting soften the industrial character. Large glazed façades dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, allowing natural light, ventilation, and the changing atmosphere of the sky to become part of the dining experience.
Spatially, the restaurant is organized across two levels to create a hierarchy of experiences rather than a single open hall. The primary dining area occupies the main floor, while a sculptural metal staircase leads to an upper level offering a more intimate setting. Private meeting cabins are integrated along the layout, providing quieter spaces without disrupting the openness of the restaurant. Every element from the exposed structure and restrained material palette to the warm lighting and flexible seating arrangements was carefully composed to create a rooftop destination that feels contemporary, inviting, and adaptable throughout the day, seamlessly transitioning from a bright café to an ambient evening dining space
The design is guided by the belief that hospitality spaces should evoke emotion as much as function. By combining a lightweight structural language with warm materials and flexible spatial planning, the rooftop becomes a contemporary retreat that remains inviting throughout the day and into the evening.
